I had just read of your lecture at the Rembrandt exhibit in NCMA in Raleigh and was extremely disappointed that it has sold out. I am from western north carolina and there was little (at best) advertisement for this important event. Now it is in SOLD OUT status and I don’t stand of chance of meeting you or of hearing your interesting lecture. I am so sad and downtrodden by the museum’s organizers of the anticipated planning of this major important event. They should have foreseen the overflow crowd of supporters. I am truly sorry that I will miss the opportunity to meet you, but maybe in the future at other events I will have the pleasure.
Hi Michelle,
I am so sorry that we were not able to accommodate you for Anthony’s lecture at the North Carolina Museum of Art. We were very pleased to have him talking about his fabulous, yet challenging work. Unfortunately, like most venues, we are restricted by the structural limitations of our building and thus, could not seat all who were interested. We did offer some seating in an overflow area as an attempt to permit a few more than our 272-seat auditorium would allow, but alas, that space filled too. I do hope your interest in the NCMA will continue. Let me know when you’re visiting in the future.
Best to you,
Deborah Reid Murphy
